Re: GPS issue with official ROM

With iGuidance, there is a known issue with internal GPS chips. You need a proxy like GPSGate (which isn't free). That basically opens up the internal GPS then routes it to a new COM port which you would set in iGuidance.

Google Maps isn't very smooth for me, but it works and doesn't pause for a long time. I guess you could say it skips as your driving, it'll pause for about a second then catch up.

Garmin Mobile XT has worked great for me and is very smooth.

EDIT: The only known problem with Garmin Mobile is that if you can't get a sat fix, it'll change your timezone. Once it gets a lock it'll change it back.
