after some extraction i compared md5 of a few things:

spl is same, extrom is different, radio is same, os is different.

i then compared xip:

obviously xip is different, so i looked at it. the only difference is nk.exe:

I have a feeling they rebuilt the same ROM and the ROM date changed. Not sure if its worth wasting time to look into imgfs.
Someone suggested earlier that the change was for live search bar or something to install with customizations. Maybe a simple extrom change was reason to rebuild the ROM.
