While the Engadget Mobile article was specific to Verizon, the PhoneNews.com article was not. We expect most, if not all carriers to pick up AKU 3.
But,
that's not the point. Once
one carrier picks up AKU 3, it can be uploaded to the ROM Kitchen, and you'll see that same ROM available on Sprint, Alltel, etc. All we need is HTC to issue it for Verizon, and then it will be available (at the very least) unofficially to everyone else.
