I had this problem as well, I ended up doing a hard reset and installed the latest HTC Home Customizer. you can get it from xda-developers, its HTC Home Customizer v1.0 Final. Once it's installed it will download and installed the newest version of the HTC Home plugin. I have had no problem so far using this method.
