Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap
I believe that most people are totally misunderstanding this. As quoted above, "We are enforcing the existing terms and conditions for phone plans. We are placing a limit of 300 MB per month on the amount of data use allowed while roaming off network as well as a 5 GB per month limitation on total wireless data usage for Sprint's connection and phone as modem plans." This has nothing to do with the amount of data that someone can use on their handset. This has to do with people using their phones to tether with ICS and with a PAM plan. This is why I simply refuse to purchase a PAM plan because of this limit in the Terms and Conditions. I do use my Mogul to tether but it is basically just to get to sites that my Mogul cannot get to (i.e. school website, etc). If everyone would use their phone that way instead of using gobs and gobs of data tethering we probably would not be having this discussion at this point. If the Terms and Conditions negatively changes to allow a 5GB cap on the handset I would seriously encourage everyone to downgrade their plans and be a real PITA to the customer service at Sprint with your rants and raves.
