I give up.
Well, I managed to put a Sprint ROM on my Verizon phone.
I probably rushed through the education process. (I know, I should have read and lurked a little longer, but in my defense...I WAS SICK OF MY ALARM NOT WAKING ME UP ON TIME!)
So, everything is pretty much normal except my start up screen is Sprint, says I'm on the Sprint PCS network and I can't get on the data network.
This is the ROM I used: RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.35.651.2_RS_TITAN_3.35.04_4 350H_SPCS_AM_Ship.exe
I can make and get phone calls.
All I wanted was to be able to wake up for work on time and use the GPS features.
--------------------------------
I'm just too overwhelmed by the whole process.
This post leads to this thread that leads to this place...
Locked this, relocker that, pre-gps will brick with this radio...
You guys are very good at what you do. It's just that the forum has my head spinning.
I successfully updated my 6700 back in the day. But the 6800... I think I've met my match.
I don't want a ROM that is going to make my home screen so customised that it doesn't look professional. I just want it to look stock with the HTC Today big friggin clock and the smalleer icons for home, contacts, weather, etc.
I want all of the crap gone from "programs": "get good" "audible" "on demand"... I use tcpmp, vnc, resco file explorer w/ ftp, internet sharing, palringo, i might play solitare every once in a while, i send texts like it's my job and i might even send a picture message once in a while.
Having good descriptions of what each program does (in the kitchen) really, really helps.
---------------------------------
As of right now my Verizon phone is running on the sprint network?
I get crappy reception.
On the boot screen:
M 09
B 03
P DCAAXAM-4350H
R 3.35.04
D 3.35
The animated Sprint start up screen.
HTC Today reads "Sprint PCS" at the top.
I can't connect with data.
I'm looking for a patient person to help me out here.
Thanks,
Mike
