4 side animated cube for XV6900

Huge thanks goes out to thisguyinoc for his excellent Touch Cube Configuration Tool ( http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=12746 ), Musicman247 for his tutorial on modifying the cube, jmathies for his BRN Converter ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...93#post1687493 ), and Polen's photoshop action scripts that makes generating the cube animations easy ( http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=135551&postcount=50 ).

This is a four sided cube for the Verizon XV6900. I put Opera 9.5 beta on the cube but other than that all the applications are built in. I'll also attach the photoshop file I used to generate the cube (along with the actions scripts linked above) in case you want to modify it for your own use. It's possible that some of the links may not work because you may have the programs stored in different locations but you can use the Touch Cube Configuration Tool linked above to modify those links easily. I recommend using Task Manager v3.1 ( http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/taskmanager.shtml ) for editing the registry and shutting down the cube so it's easy to install the graphics files) and Total Commander v2.50 ( http://www.ghisler.com/ce.htm ) for copying the graphics files into your windows directory.

Start up task manager and find the following processes and push and hold on them and terminate them (these are the programs that run the cube and if they are running you can't write to the graphics files):

Biotouch.exe
APLauncher.exe
APLauncher2.exe (you may not have this one)
QuickDial.exe
MediaHubMini.exe

Then use Total commander to copy all of the files that are in the Cube Graphicss directory into your \Windows directory (I'd suggest backing up your existing files first). Then open up Task manager and click on the down arrow on the upper right and go into regedit, then click on the small graphic icon on the lower left and click on import and import the Biotouch.reg file into your registry. You can use Task manager to easily backup your existing HTC_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch registry by pushing and holding on it and exporting it to a file - that way you can restore to it if necessary.

Lastly all you need to do is go into the windows directory and make another copy of the APLauncher.exe program and name it APLauncher2.exe . Then just do a soft boot and you should be all set with the 4 sided cube. I'm brand new to Windows Mobile (been a Palm user for years, just got the Touch a week ago) so I'll do my best to help out if you run into trouble but no promises .
