not completely true. my mogul could ge completly out of service and still pull a gps signal. some phones do have a true gps chip in them. the 800w has this but it looks like for the time being it is locked up. maybe a update in the future? the agps works great but lets face it sometimes we need it when we don't have service. lets all just hope!
