Re: Sync to Google Apps calendar and contacts?
I just looked as Plaxo (http://www.plaxo.com) as a possible way to sync my Windows XP, Mac OS X, and HTC Touch to my Google Apps. Looks like Plaxo is a solution for calendar sync, but contacts are not so good. From the Plaxo Web site:
Currently, the Google sync point is a one-way sync. It can only read data and changes to the data from Google to Plaxo. Any changes on the Plaxo side will not reflect back to your Google address book.
That could be OK since I can manage edits on the Google Web site. But this warning is a deal breaker:
Finally, if a Google address book contact does not have a value in the Primary Email field, that contact will not sync to Plaxo - it will be ignored.
I have a bunch of "contacts" that are not people, for example GOOG411, restaurant numbers for making reservations, emergency numbers, etc. Plus there's lots of people that I call, but have no reason to e-mail (I know that sounds odd these days, but it's true). It might be possible to use a fake e-mail address, but I don't know and don't really want to do that.
The quest continues.
