Is it Active Sync 4.5? Try a soft reset on your device, and try that again.
And if that don't work, go to www.dashwire.com and download it to your phone to back up your contacts and such then do a hard reset (hold talk and end key while hitting reset button.

And if that dosn't work you have a hardware error somewhere.
