Re: Goodlink problems

jc3273,

I've gone through pretty much your exact same experience. You'll never get past "Downloading Services - 0%" with AKU 3.0 or later -- Goodlink simply doesn't support it. I spent the last 7 days trying every permutation to try and get it to work, but it won't. I've also seen that message you're talking about "Goodlink Messaging is not supported for the carrier: Verizon Wireless. Contact your IT Administrator."

The bottom line is, if you want to use Goodlink, you'll need to revert back to AKU 2.0.

I work for a major corporation (6,000 people) and I'm trying to get our IT staff to throw our weight at Motorola to get them to start supporting AKU 3.0 or later.

Hope this helps...

After many attempts with both 3.3 and 3.5 ROMs and many account resets with my Goodlink administrators, I am now back to the stock Verizon ROM.

If you are familiar with Goodlink, then the following will make sense. I have tried OTA install, backing up from a successful installation on stock ROM and then restoring to a 3.5 ROM, and installing from SD card. In the case of the OTA install, it errors out shortly after entering the PIN and says Goodlink does not support my carrier. When restoring a backup from the SD card, it hangs at "Downloading Services - 0%".

Any thoughts here?
