wimax IS the 4th Generation... it supposedly costs much less to set up since its completely wireless... wimax is gunna be the next cable modems, but wireless, which makes it less costly to set up... so new offices being built would most likely have wimax instead of ethernet wired through everywhere...

sprint keeps delaying wimax cuz they don't want to screw it up with an early launch... if they aren't prepared and give it a shot, the recognition and respect for wimax will fall and it might NEVER be seen again.

a wimax enabled phone WILL be costly at first... but think about it.. in 10 years, nearly everyone will have the ability to have wimax in their homes and pretty much on every phone. it will take over cable and comcast.
