Re: Need help. Keyboard light does not turn on anymore!!!!!!!

When I first got my 6800, I thought the kbd light wasn't working either, but it had to be VERY dark to get the sensor to activate it. I did a bit of checking and found out that you can force the light to come on anytime the kbd is opened by going to start>settings>buttons then the backlight tab and un-checking the enable auto-sensor option. It comes on whenever the kbd is opened, but it always works when needed. Evidently the auto-sensor just checks for conditions when the kbd is first opened because if it doesn't cut on the light, covering the sensor has no effect. If you cover the sensor immediately after opening the kbd, the light comes on. I have opted to allow the light to come on all the time.

Whatever works best for you.
