from napster? isn't this where you buy stuff to listen? if so, that would be DRM protected nO?

Can you play the files with winamp on the comp or some other player other than windows media player? When you go the the ppc, the player that should play it is windows media player, seeing as it can read the protections, tcpmp is not that well suited for DRM protected files.
vtigre: Okay, I understand now. I've found some other discussions elsewhere that go into this question of protected WMA files. You're right, it seems TCMCP doesn't work well with them. I wonder if their "for-cost" Core Player works with protected WMAs? Conduits' advertises that their Pocket Player will play them. (Same $$$ on Handango as Core.) So, I installed the trial version of Pocket Player. It does indeed play those protected files! And a slight modification of the reg hack mentioned here a day or so ago will get Pocket Player working with Voice Command; well, at least the command "play .... " works. Also, in my trials with my Bluetooth Stereo headphones, there was absolutely no skipping in Pocket Player after I increased the buffering a bit.

Later Edit: This is a reply I got over at the Core forum:
I don't think the DRM is in CorePlayer, yet. Janus/Plays for Sure, Matroska DRM, OpenIPMPand others should be announced in future, I believe.
