Annoying Text Messaging Issue

I've had my mogul since March and really love the thing. I've installed and uninstalled many apps no problems. All of a sudden my phone (only while roaming to verizon) would receive duplicate messages. This went on for awhile, but wasn't as big of a headache as it is now. Now it has gotten to the point where when I enter Roaming I receive the first text message anyone sends while I'm in that coverage. Every subsequent message that is sent from anywhere pushes the original message through again as a duplicate and never gives me the new message. I've taken trips during this and it doesn't matter what tower if its Roaming it just repeats messages. As soon as I go back into sprint coverage all my messages come as a mad rush that I missed.

Now I wouldn't normally care except for the fact that sprints "coverage maps" say I should have full bars and EVDO at my residence but I'm lucky to get a half bar. They sent a tech out to my street and he claims everythings fine. I've had sprint for 3 years and had about 5 phones and none of them worked. Even visitors with sprint have the same problem with service. So basically I'm screwed on texts if I am at home.

I contacted sprint about the issue and they gave me the run around about "roaming guarantees" and I got them to the point of finding the tower and getting me an error log. The tower is showing a 97% completion rate with my phone and the tower out of like 250 messages. It seems as though this all started when I upgraded to the 3.35 rom and radio.

I have reinstalled the rom update, reverted back to 3.15, and upgraded to the new 3.56 that leaked and none of them helped. I've also hard reset and soft reset many times. I'm starting to think it is a hardware issue but I don't want to waste a trip to the nearest sprint store that is 25 miles away.

If anyone can help thanks a ton!
