On a side note I have tried to download GGmap, but the new versions seems a lot different. More a wap version or something. Touch screen does not work. Nor is there a functing for "gps enable" I have to use the navigation function. It seems to install a java app if I go to www.google.com/gmm is there a different site with a correct .cab at google?

I believe you are installing the Smartphone version. The Site you need to visit from your mobile phone is
http://m.google.com/maps and then click on "INSTALL NOW". That should install the PPC version.
