Re: Screen Replacement
i have taken a couple of the mogul apart, mine several times. here is some tip to remember:
1. once you have removed the first 4 screws, slide the phone/keyboard out and pry from the top of the phone due to the usb port is sticking out a bit at the bottom. remember to remove the micro sd card. from there on, its pretty easy. just take it one step at a time.
2. once you have taken the phone apart and replace your screen. there is a little piece of middle that hold the bottom of the phone and the top of the phone together. the ribbin video cable goes through the square hole of this metal. the metal is pretty sharp and each time you slide the keyboard in and out, the ribbin cable rub against the metal. i have seen it done damaged to my dad's mogul and i believe this is a bad design. i recommend tape off the sharp metal edge so it doesnt scratch away the ribbon cable. i have open several moguls just to do this mod.
3. once you have replaced your screen and start putting the phone back. the step when you put the keyboard back on, i believe you have to slide either the left or the right side in first against the two small metal clips, or else you phone wont come back together flushed like it was. i dont remember this exact part, but you just have to watch out for it in this step.
4. 1 person on this board have reported that the screen has lack of seal under the bezzel and one drop of liquid that went to the side of the screen can sip inside and damage the screen. if you can find a way to seal around the screen under the bezzel, it would be a good idea.
5. also the blinking led, you may want to put "some" tape over it to dimm it down. it s blinking too bright at night.
good luck
