Download a program, whether free or not is up to u, and just follow the instructions the program provides on how to back up your phone. You do this because, for instance, you download and install something or replace files with some others and it either messes up your phone or you do not like what you installed and it overwrote system files that can't be undone, then you will really praise the use of the backup because it'll return your phone to exactly the same way when you initiated the backup file.

It's pretty easy, and very useful.

*also if your phone crashes or breaks w/e w/e it is always great to have a backup to skip doing everything all over again
