First of all let me thank you guys immensely for all the hard work - phenomenal! I just used BuildOS and Helmi's (et al) kitchen to go from wm5 to 6.1. I do not have Outlook, and backup my contacts, etc. using pim.vol. I am coming to the realization that this is not going to work for this upgrade (
Contacts interface won't even open). I use the tasks and calendar as well, but I can live without the tasks, and I use OggSync with Google Calendars (so I am all good there).
The only thing I can think of is to reinstall wm5, replace pim.vol, use a backup utility, re-cook to 6.1, then use utility.
- Does anyone have experience doing this with a particular utility, or will I likely have the same issue?
- Is there a simpler way to get the contacts info from my pim.vol into my phone?

UPDATE
Solution was to reinstall OEM wm5, use a backup utility (see below) on the SD card, then re-cook to 6.1, and finally run the backup utility's "restore" function. No issues so far!
