Tethering Detection revisited

So, I was applying the gpsOne "make it better/faster" hack as mentioned on XDA and noticed in the QPST tool that there are seperate entries "NAI" and "Tethered NAI", in my case <my phone #>@mb.<my carrier>.com and <my phone #>@1x.<my carrier>.com respectively. I'm wondering if these are the same, (both set to the same as NAI), whether this would prevent tethering detection...what do you all think?
