It's not marketed as being only thin. It is one positive but, it has the memory and functionality that exceeds most touch screen phones. It is the rival to the iphone right now in this age and development of touch interfaces and ppc functionality. For every thing the iphone does better than this ppc it has a function to beat the iphone. The extended battery option (which the iphone doesn't have) isn't neccessary depending on your usage but it has the option. As far as making twice the thickness this is also inaccurate it does add some size but it is still not the tank that the mogul is. Additionally, the extra size and weight of the phone in my opinion is a plus, it makes texting, emailing, etc.. a little more comfortable. I thought about not using it at first but when I went back to test the difference in battery length and put the stock back in it felt awkward compared to how the extended battery felt. I think it's a plus and provides more dependability with the extended battery but yes if you set out to drain it you can.
