Re: OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/29/08

Hey all. This is my first post and I'm a relative newb, but I've spent days and days reading posts, though I'm still confused. Forgive me if these questions are answered elsewhere... there's a lot of stuff up here!

First, I have a Verizon xv6900.
I unlocked with imcokeman's 2.31, flashed with a sprint rom to upgrade and then used OMJ's Verizon OEM GPS ROM and FREAKED out when i tried to call and started getting the "unable to authenticate" message. I then spent more time here reading more and the next day was able to get Verizon to get me a knew A-Key (it was about 1am when I hit that bump and their systems were down).

I have been able to get the GPS to locate me on Google Maps, but when I've used Window's Live Search it puts me in the middle of the mountains in Colorado... That would be lovely except I'm in Tucson, AZ! Anyone know why this is happening? I love Live Search and would really like to get it working right. Also I'll install some other GPS things and let ya'll know how they're working..

Last, I wrote down the A-Key the support staff gave me as they were giving it to me, even though she requested I put it "directly into the phone." When I asked if they could email it to me she was very clear that I needed to just put it directly into the phone and that if I did a hard reset I'd likely need to get another one from them. If I still have the other one they gave me, will it work if I end up needing one in the future? I've been thinking about tinkering more with other roms like 3.5 and installing OMJs custom Verizon version, but I don't feel comfortable calling Verizon again and again to get new A-Keys.

Thanks to all of you! You're all great and VERY helpful!
