Interesting ... The Toshiba e805 Presentation Pack was/is an extension to the Toshiba Pocket PC that enabled exactly that; video out. The Toshiba e805 is a Windows Mobile device (WM2003), so I wonder:
Was something specific to the Toshiba hardware, or is/was it something within the Windows Mobile APIs?
