I owned an 8-bit Nintendo system when I was younger, so I know all about blowing into systems to make them work. It didn't work, unfortunately.

I got my hands on a different card last night, and it worked just fine. I reformatted the 512Mb card (FAT32) and it works now. I lost all my backups, but that'll teach me to more scrupulously maintain redundancy.
