Re: Using minutes to get on the Internet

come on guys hes talking about using his connection like the horrible dial up days. You know dialing out from the phone for the net connection with that horrible sound and using his phone line for internet rather than the actual data connection.

Now on to the question. You simply cant do it. Let me explain why. Now the system that we had set up with dial up internet working through the actualy phone line. Data in cellphones isnt tranferred the same way. In cell phones, data lines connect on a different system, hence many people can use the net and still recieve calls on their networks. With the system we are using, there is no way to dial out calls and use normal minutes to access data;

1. there is no setup for it
2. ull still have to subscribe to dial even IF IT WAS POSSIBLE (which its not)
3. it simply isnt supported by the networks we;re on becuase that system is outdated.

So in short, u cant do it with just "minutes". I used to think about doing this since i have unlimited evenings and weekends when i was 14 yrs old. But after looking into it and checkin the system out u find out that its not possible.

Hope this helps.
