Items 1 and 2 in your post needed to be corrected on my device - once there, I got some GPS action. I got about 10 minutes into my drive to work and got about 8-10 sats and locks onto 3 - 5 randomly with GPS viewer.

GPS is working pretty good - but no where near 30 seconds to lock 4 + sats ... 3 minutes - 15 minutes depending on the area.
I would say it did not work for you. What were the exact steps you took?

Yes, that is correct. I did it on a fresh vogue earlier today. Flash 2.31 SPL, flash Sprint Leaked Rom, run ppst, update PRL, provision phone, then flash custom rom, in that order
