I'm not liking the flush touchscreen unless they use a capacitive screen (they're too cheap for that) and the lack of hard buttons. The Raphael has no hard buttons on either side.

He's not referring to the phone Send/End, he's referring to the soft buttons that map to onscreen buttons, like Send and Menu in e-mail, for instance. I believe they dropped these because with them use capacitive buttons instead of hard buttons, and the touchscreen being flush with the front, it's just as easy to hit the on-screen implementations as it was to hit the physical buttons, so they become unnecessary.
I am concerned with the decrease in side buttons, though. I use mine quite a bit, and have them heavily customized. The scroll wheel is gone, too, which I use quite often.
