I had same problem, but found out it was the memory card which was bad. I froze at same point.
Took it out and then all ok.
The mem card not only froze mine , but my co-workers Verizon model and also failed to work on laptop.
Anyway I hope you resolve that problem, and don't forget to have your carrier splash screen when and if you turn it in!
