Voice Command responses, confirmation and announcement works, but it is barely audible.

There may, in fact, be other ways to improve the quality of the announcement and confirmation, I just haven't come across them.
I also have msvc retail which is 1.60.4622.0. I'm now back to stock vzw ROM (long story as to why I took the big step back) after enjoying the kitchen with WM 6.1 in which msvc works GREAT. The retail version I have basically doesn't work. Not only the low response volume issue mentioned here (in which the registry hacks for volume do noting), but working more like 1.5 in that it doesn't respond to the BT button reliably, etc.

You referenced some later builds. Where can they be found?
