Hi colonel, we are fixing the install location advice popup issue. You might find that it works fine (pops up at the right time) if you re-install the same cab again. i.e wierd microsoft API issue.
When you say "not seeing the tags", did you use the manual geotag feature or the automatic? Just installing the geotagger is not enough, you need to make sure that you put in the right path (on both the manual and automatic screens) to where your camera stores the pictures. Also, when you start the geotagger in automatic mode, and then take a picture, you need to either have a recent GPS fix, otherwise you need to be somewhere the GPS can get a fix. If you are indoors and still want to geotag, just browse to the right location in the map, and tap on "Set as my location". This will be accepted as a current GPS fix by the geotagger. Typically a picture gets geotagged within 6-7 seconds of being taken, and the geotagger emits a low clicking sound every time it geotags something.
Also, how are you checking to see if the tags exist? Are you uploading to flickr? Did you make sure to uncheck "Hide Exif Data" in flickr privacy settings?
Thanks!
