that's not necessarily the case.
I too tried the hack and for awhile stopped the blinking lights. I read somewhere that it eats as much as 10% of your battery life or more?
however a few days later it stopped vibrating (i used triangle hack in order to accomplish the lights).
I uninstalled and it still wouldn't work. I figured something was corrupt s I did a hard reset, no luck.
I read up on another forums ppl having the same issue, but they pressed on the battery itself in order to get it working again. that's right, it appears that sometmes the vibrator stops working altogether, and the only way to get it working again is to press on the battery.
so I removed the door, took the battery out, put it back in, pressed on it, and voila it started working again.
changed the registry manually about the flashing leds and vibrator still works.
so its not necessarily related to flashing leds.
