ScrapMaker, that would defeat the whole purpose of the GPSToday+GeoTagger combination. Whenever you take a picture, the GeoTagger always uses the last obtained automatic position by GPSToday, as long as that fix is not too old (the time window is user-configurable).
If that fix is too old, then the GeoTagger signals GPSToday to obtain a new quickfix, which causes GPSToday to obtain a fresh fix and immediately stop the GPS. The GeoTagger then uses this fix to geotag recently taken pictures plus pictures taken in the near future.
Furthermore, even if you keep the GPS in "off" mode in GPSToday, and start the GeoTagger in automatic mode, even then you don't need to worry about manually starting the GPS. Just take a picture, which will automatically cause GPSToday to get a quickfix and geotag the picture, all without needing any user input from you, and spending the minimum possible amount of power by turning on the GPS, getting a fix, and immediately turning it off. So no worries.
Try it!
Thanks.
