The whole point of push mail is that your vision connection needs to stay in constant connection with the server because that's how e-mail is pushed out to you. And it does do a number on the battery... it's just a fact of life with these devices. If you want Push you will need to do other things to minimize battery drain (the backlight is a huge power sucker, wi-fi even greater). I keep my backlight on the lowest "on" setting and if I make/take a lot of calls I usually top up the battery throughout the day. I've also got a spare battery charging in the cradle if need be.

It wasn't this way with the last official ROM update. The battery never ran this quick. I put my backlight all the way down and it sill is going quick.
