Re: Good vs Bad screens (pictures + videos of both)

THERE IS HOPE FOR THOSE OF US WITH CRAPPY SCREENS!

I just went into the Sprint store, to pick up my fourth Vogue, because of the dark spots, and I told them there was no point in having it looked at by a tech, because this is a well-known problem. He was a bit concerned that I was on my fourth phone, and offered me any other phone I wanted. I told him I really wanted the Vogue, just one that had a working screen.

His supervisor said to just give me (another) new one. He pulled three boxes out of the cabinet, in case it took that many to get a good screen.

Well, the first one he pulled out was perfect. He could tell instantly, just by looking at the HTC splash screen.

Three other employees, and a manager, all came over to see the difference, as they had never seen it in person, (the comparison.)

It was night-and-day. They couldn't believe I was remotely happy with my old one, especially with the dark spots.

The new screen is amazing:
-Perfectly viewable in daylight. Only slightly diminished in DIRECT BRIGHT sunlight... That's something my old one couldn't even come close to.
-Screen feels more solid. Doesn't "squish" nearly as much.
-No "rainbow" effect when I push the screen, (at all.)
-Colors are incredibly vibrant. I would compare to the iPhone. No kidding.
-VIEWING ANGLE! - I can see it from all angles, just like I'm looking at my plasma TV... Amazing...

This is a day of days.

So to those of you who have the crappy screen, go in, and see if you can get your hands on a NEW vogue.

This one was manufactured on 1/23/2008, if that can help with referencing this problem.

Wow, I can't get over how great the screen looks. I really had no idea how crappy my old one is.
