Ok Mali, I see your pride in Sprint and that is a natural feeling when your on a boat that is sinking. You gotta have hope right? The reason AT&T does not offer insurance on their PDA/PPC Phones is because of the SIM cards. You can pretty much switch out the SIM card on any AT&T device and use it with little or no hassle. AT&T plans on offering insurance in the future for these devices, and I am assuming that they will be able to offer some type of security to ensure that you cant just swap SIM cards.
On the other topic of coverage. I have traveled all over the country with Sprint and recently with my 1 month old AT&T Tilt and the AT&T coverage is 10 times better. As a matter of fact I just drove to Texas from New Jersey and never once dropped calls or lost any type of coverage. Even running around here in Texas I have not lost any service like I did before with Sprint. I too used to feel a pride in my carrier (Sprint) so I know how you feel.
