Can we use the RDP to connect to a XP machine running VNC or does it HAVE to connect to the RD of the XP machine?
You can run both if you like. RDP listens on port 3389 by default so just make sure the VNC server listens on another port. If your question is can I use the RDP client to connect to a VNC server the answer is no. RDP clients can only connect to RDP servers and the same for VNC.
