Well WM6 has an included app "Internet Connection Sharing", and Sprint did try to deter tethering (very lame attempt) by making it so ICS can't make a data connection itself, but if you have a data connection going already from another program...ie googlemaps opera etc... ICS will connect right up.

There is also a hack to allow ICS to make a data connection itself, just by deleting one registry entry, it appears they don't know/care when we are tethering.
