Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

Well, I can't say for sure what folks have or have not done and what PRI results from flashing A vs. flashing B, but I can say this for certain as I just confirmed the following, by going through the process, step-by-step ...

Flash the leaked sprint rom:

"RUU_Vogue_4350_PPST_SpeciallNBH_SPRINT_WWE_3.02.6 51.2_Radio_435011_3.37.15_AM_NV_SPCS_1.33_0823_Tes t.exe"

... if you DO NOT run customizations

RESULT: There is NO PPST.exe in your windows folder.

... if you DO run customizations

RESULT: autorun.exe uses/executes commands in config_PT.txt

Line 14: CAB: \Windows\PPST_080407_7500_SPCS_2.03.sa.CAB is installed
Line 15: EXEC:\Windows\PPST.exe is executed

Best regards,
-boggsie

EDIT: clockcycle reminds of an important point. when PPST.exe is executed, it prompts the user to approve the update to the radio. well, if it is being executed via autorun.exe, the user cannot respond to this prompt. at some point, autorun.exe will continue, but I DO NOT KNOW what happens to the execution of PPST.exe. This is why, as clockcycle suggests, it is a reasonably good idea (IF YOU ARE A SPRINT CUSTOMER) to manually execute PPST.exe and then ensure that your PRI.
