It's not so easy to reverse custom roms into a basekit. Dogguy has tools that will help, but it still takes a fair amount of experience.

Unfortunately, in the case of DCD and no2chem, they are changing very low level stuff so they need to undergo more testing than the average kitchen gets before release.
