I used to have a problem when I had my temporary internet files on my SD card. Do you have yours stored there? If so, move them back to your internal memory.
If that isn't the case, I'd do a Sprite Backup and hard-reset your device. Then add back each application you use (one at a time) to see which one is causing the hang.
