I don't prime with anything on any ROM. The whole priming thing is a myth in my opinion.
That said, it appears most Navigation apps will only use Sat positions even if an Assisted Position is available. Some apps like Google Maps will show an assisted position while waiting for sats. Some apps that use or display an assisted position make visual progress sooner (which make the user feel better
). But it still takes just as long for the sats to come on line.
Your best "primer" is a clear view of the sky for apps that require Sats.
