Re: Why do I pay sprint for insurance?!?

To those who asked how many insurance claims are allowed per year, according to the Sprint website insurance information, there is a limit of three replacements under the Equipment Replacement Program (insurance coverage) per year, with a $50 deductible charged per replacement.
Quote:
Incidents covered:
> Loss, theft or physical damage.
> Water (or liquid) damage and resulting corrosion.
> Fire or lightning damage.
Limits:
> Replacement value not to exceed $1,000 per occurrence.
> Maximum of three replacement requests will be allowed within a consecutive 12-month period.
There is no limit stated for number of replacements under the Equipment Service and Repair Program (extended warranty coverage) and no charge for replacements under that program. The TEP includes both programs for $7 per month. Since the Equipment Service and Repair Program "includes coverage for mechanical or electrical failure, routine maintenance, or failure from normal wear and tear", it would probably cover phones that are truly bricked, since they would appear as electrical failure.
