If you look in the Site News and Announcements forum, you'll find lot's of info about the FTP. The FTP is now anonymous, but please check that forum because their is additional info you'll need to know.
Additionally, check the Site Comments and Suggestions forum for a new thread about issues the FTP is currently having.
