What are you talking about static navigation?!? Ive never heard of that terminology, Ive used tracky just fine on my touch..works well.. Havent actually geocached with it yet, but i could.

EDIT: I tried a little geocaching test for my touch/tracky. I picked a waypoint on GE randonmly near my friends house. I inputted it into my touch and my Garmin Vista HCx, and went over there. I used tracky to get within 30' of the virtual cache, and i couldnt really get much closer. So I pulled out my HCx and zeroed in within 10' or so. My Touch still showed 30'. I waited about a minute and it dropped down into the 8-10' range which is about all you can ask for. If Beeline or GPSTuner works a little better than it could have been even better. But I could still cache semiconfidently with my phone if I wanted to, even with tracky.

Also note that I was getting 4 satellites on my touch in moderate canopy and 12+ on my hcx. I am sure that makes a difference
