Thanks, I know that,
but I have been using the gmail application for years through multiple phones, and I prefer it. It syncs my phone emails with my computer emails perfectly, as I almost never plug my touch in to my computer (and actually won't be able to do it at my new job come September). I used to be an electrical engineer, and now I'm an attorney, I just don't see the point in not using the gmail app. My balckberry will keep me tied enough to the office as it is.

Now, I really don't understand all the resistance to using the gmail application on this forum. I see it often: new users asking the best way to get gmail on their phone, and people responding with details on the best mail program to use and the best push mail services.
The gmail app works smoothly and is very easy to use. I forward all but my new work email to my gmail, so I don't need any email application to handle multiple accounts. I don't have any use for push mail, as I'm in front of a computer for all but 30 minutes twice a day during my commute, and I enjoy having a "small" bit off freedom. Also, I don't want to have to plug my phone in to charge every 20 minutes because it's constantly checking for new email. I enjoy being able to go a day or so between charges, and that includes roughly an hour of email/new websurfing per day.

Anyways, anyone know anything about problems saving login and password on the gmail app?
