I swear I'm not 'stalking" you but I had to correct some of my Vista Cube labeling today. If you go to Post #2 of this thread, by using a registry editor, one can manually enter the correct path to the app that you want to launch. I don't think there is a comparable Cube Config tool for the Vista Cube 2.0. After you make the necessary registry entries, wait a couple of minutes for the registry entries to take and then reboot and see if the Vista Cube button is working properly for you. No guarantees but that would be my first step. It is also possible that the On Demand and the Live Search files were not correctly incorporated into the pipeROM.
