this is why I love verizon and hacking...I went through (4 i730s and 4 xv6700 between last summer and this summer)
and then got a xv6800.
In reality, I would get insurance for a phone if I didn't buy it from a third party (like ebay, facebook or something). But since i usually get my phones (or do a lot of mis haps that CS can't fix
thanks to dated technology and rom upgrading practically every week) from verizon (and not through the vendors) i get insurance especially when I notice that my phone is going really slow or something after reinstalling the the stock roms. All in all, insurance does help at least me
