Under Sound Notification, you can select Multimedia messaging sent, but not text message sent.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Defau lt
Wave = "\Windows\whatever_wav_sound_u_want.wav"

It needs to be in the windows directory, I have silent.wav for my setting. Default setting =
Wave = "\windows\alarm2.wav"
