Back when i was studying how gps works, i remember there would be best times for each location on earth, b/c the satellites are always moving, you are never gauranteed more than i think it was two or three sats which isn't as accurate. I need to upgrade so that i can play with it on my phone, but i would look for accuracy settings or see if there is an option to use cell towers too when available to help triangulate when fewer satellites are visible to your location.
