setup the server settings like this and it works

server name:Verizon Wireless
Gateway: <leave blank>
Port: 80
Server Address: http://mms.vzw.com/servlets/mms
Connect via: Verizon Wireless (Data)
Sending Size limit: 250K
WAP Version: 2.0
